Jonathan Duffy is an experienced Barrister who is a specialist in defending people charged with the whole range of criminal and regulatory offences.
He is a member of 7 Harrington Street Chambers, based in Liverpool City Centre, but is frequently instructed to appear in courts throughout England & Wales. His Chambers profile can be viewed via the link to the right.
His experience includes defending in cases of murder, armed robbery, rape and serious drugs offences, some of which have resulted in national or international publicity. In 2024, he was instructed to represent one of the victims of the Horizon Post office scandal in challenging his conviction before The Court of Appeal.
He is also very experienced in dealing with cases which whilst not having such a high profile, are every bit as serious to the person who, for one reason or another, has found themselves in need of a good lawyer.
Jonathan understands that motoring offences for example, or issues that can arise in the domestic context can have devastating consequences to ones livelihood and reputation and Jonathan is as experienced and skilled in operating in the Magistrates Court as he is in The Court of Appeal in London.
